The drinks also come in large goblets... I thought my date had ordered a generous portion of mango juice but it was spiked with rum... sneaky sneaky, and at just 12:30 in the afternoon!
Bam #1: it was difficult to tell in the dimly-lit Independent when I first met him but RJ is 40 years old. He looks like a 40 year-old Ronnie (of Jersey Shore fame!) I've just set a personal record for greatest age gap on a date (sound the tiny bugle horn!) Unfortunately that wasn't the only red flag...
Luckily dinner was much better. Reunited with my friend Peanut and dined at Bambino's on Cole Street:
tomato bruschetta, served warm |
pizza Diavolo (bacon, sausage, corn, red onions, fresh tomato, and gorgonzola) |
torte del Genoise e del cioccolata |
Bam #2: You can never go wrong with corn on a pizza or chocolate on a cake!
At dinner Peanut and I got to talking about the new Starz series Camelot - we're suckers for anything pertaining to Arthurian legend. This version is crazygood! I love their dark and haunted interpretation of Merlin:
Joseph Fiennes as Merlin |
Eva Green as Morgan |
Bam #3: Camelot marathon in progress. Re-watching the first four episodes... don't miss the second half of episode 4! New episodes return Friday 4/29 at 10PM PDT!
Speaking of marathons and other awesome television programs, this Monday 4/25 is Bam #4: the season finale of Ru Paul's Drag Race > Season 3! Catch it on Logo TV at 9:30 PM. For those of you who missed out on all the extravaganza, there's a marathon starting this Sunday 4/24 at 10AM.
Who will be America's next drag superstar?
will it be Manilla Luzon? |
or Bam! Alexis Mateo? |
Raja? |
what the hell, I still wish Miss Yara Sofia was still in the running!
Yara Sofia rocks the stand-up comedy challenge! |
