childhood snacks

do you remember snacking on Yanyan? That crispy cracker stick snack that came with chocolate or strawberry frosting for dipping? It's been quite a few years since I last had any but today a friendly co-worker jogged my memory...

now with "fun lines?"
And the geniuses at Meiji snacks have found a way for these to be even better than yesteryear: crazy-cute words printed on the sticks!

that's right, cows go "muuuuu!"
I was so smitten with this makeover that I had to get a can of my own. Off to Daiso, the buck-fifty store - they have an outpost on Market between Montgomery and the Sutter-Sansome T-section.

crazy-cute snacks now aid children in vocabulary
My favorites are the goat ("you are lucky today") and fox ("beware of lies.") Wait a minute, that's not very nice for the fox!
