sometimes you can't resist

You may have seen some commercials for Red Lobster advertising a four-course meal for $15. Awesome!

So guess where I went last night...

Red Lobster's cheddar bay biscuits... the best free bread you'll find in any strip mall
We couldn't wait to chow down at the Red Lobster in Tanforan, but we had to search the menu top-to-bottom to find the promotion (it's in the left-hand side of the insert.) First course: the soup

a nice mini portion of clam chowder to open the stomach
Second course: the salad

garden salads, with balsamic dressing on the left and Italian on the right
When it comes to the third course (entrée) don't bother looking at the calorie counts next to the names or all you'll want is the grilled tilapia. Here, we threw caution to the wind and ordered foods based on how delectable they sound:

Saturday's vice: habañero coconut shrimp and two skewers of citrus-glazed shrimp
garlicky shrimp alfredo
this shrimp and chicken combo got the thumbs up!
But after the soup and salad, the three of us could barely touch our food. We took tastes, boxed it up, and skipped to dessert:

key lime pie... highly recommended!
a brownie with ice cream... someone couldn't wait, and this time it wasn't me!
cinnamon donuts with glazy dipping sauce... a bit on the hard side

Could not pass up on this deal, and when you think about it, you get two meals' worth if you box up your entrée like we did... perhapse I would've been able to handle more food if I hadn't loaded up on those addictive cheddar bay biscuits! When it comes to chains, Red Lobster is one of my favorites.
