what does it take to bleed orange and black?

By no means was this the worst line I've ever waited in - this brings back the strain of waiting 3 1/2 hours at Fanfest 2010 to get John Bowker's autograph - but yeah, it was pretty stressful. Debating whether or not to take add an extra half hour to lunch while being told by popchip organizers that we were on the edge of not seeing Andres Torres as we stood in line on the uncanny heat... I have never been so unsure of the outcome. The line didn't seem terribly long but it moved at a snail's pace... scouts would come back saying that people were snapping multiple posed shots with Torres and telling him their life stories, and that the star centerfielder was just too nice to say no... I mean I understand, I'd also want to have a nice heart-to-heart with some of our Giants but you can't be greedy and sap up all the time!

But the torture was worth it! In the last ten minutes of the autograph session, we got to the front door of Walgreens, obtained tickets to see the star, yelled at a few groupies without tickets who were trying to cut in line, and finally, FINALLY got to meet Andres Torres face-to-face and get an autograph...

hella friggin' awesome!
What a supernice guy! He was all smiles and gladly autographed my sneaker - certainly not your usual request! Meanwhile, I was too starstruck to do anything besides smile and giggle a bit... but I got to shake his hand! I was so thrilled about this superhuge success that I could not help beaming the rest of the afternoon, even as I stayed late to make up all the time I took off for lunch. Let's go Andres Torres and LET'S GO GIANTS!
